A Place for Everything

Here is a fairly easy laundry/stuff basket you can make with leftover fabric and old T.V. tray legs.  I used fabric that I had taken off a chair I recovered that got faded in the sun.  The fabric was too pretty to pitch, so I put it in a box for later use.  See, sometimes that hoarding pays off.  I just sewed all the scraps together and then I sewed a vintage tablecloth to it, to use as an inside liner.  If I have lost you, the pretty material is on the outside of the T.V. stand legs and the tablecloth is on the inside.  I stitched the bottom together by hand so that it made a fairly square container.  I didn't make this to sell, so less perfection added character to the piece.  I hot glued some trim around the top, made a little pocket on the side and put a pair of scissors with it.  You can never have too many scissors!!  I put my trims in it.  I love that it is readily available and I can see and get to the trims without digging too much.
