I decided I really wanted to use it as a little paint station, so I took the wire off, added the Cori Dantini fabric, fixed up the front of the box with birds and such, and it was good to go! Well, almost! I added some paint bottles with colors I love, then a bottle that stores my brushes, scissors that I always need and 2 little glass jars that can hold water, modge podge, or whatever else I might use.
I bought this little wood garden planter at TJ Max. It came with some herbs and material to make an indoor garden. It had wire where the window frame is and had "Garden" painted on the front of the box.

I have been on a kick lately custom painting tablecloths and napkins. I made the first set for my sister for Christmas. The tablecloth has the name of their ranch, and the napkins have their last initial on them. Then I made a set for my friend's birthday. And today I started working on a set for our home. I have been working on linen tablecloths and napkins. I hope to get my set completed by this weekend.
I had a nice visit from Peggy, a friend from Wyoming. She brought me the cutest little bag that she made from a Snap Happy pattern. I wanted to share it because it is not only cute, but it's such a thoughtful gift! All of these things were in my little bag! It's perfect for the car, camper, or in the house. I really love it. Thank you Peggy!
I found a chenille blanket at the antique store, and it is so pretty. It had a stain on it but I bought it anyway because I want to make a patchwork quilt with soft muted colors of chenille. I washed it and put a stain remover on the spot and...you guessed it....the stain came out. Happy dance!! Then I found this little embroidered linen bag. I think it is so cute! Love finds like this!!
Here is a bit of their challenge from the blog. I hope it's ok to share it like this! It's nice to have an idea about the challenge.
January is always the busiest month of the school year for me. We have our annual art show and it is a major undertaking. I thought I would share some pictures of the kids work today, and then get back to my regular blog posts tomorrow. Here is work from 5th grade. 4th grade! 3rd grade! 2nd grade! 1st grade! Kindergarten! This was just a few of the projects that were displayed this year. We had paper mache' masks, boats, watercolor fish, fish prints, drawings, and much more. It is a special night at our school and I am very proud of my students!
