I saw this bench at the thrift store, and I knew I could do something cute with it, but I passed on it. Then I was out playing on Saturday and the store was having a half off sale. Well, for half off I decided it was worth waiting in line to buy it. I brought it home, sanded it down, painted it, distressed it a little and recovered the seats with fabric I had. The whole project took me about 4 hours. The fun thing about this bench is if you get tired of the seat fabric you can just recover them in minutes. Sew Easy!

I'm sorry I haven't posted but I have been unable to get onto my blog page for a month and now it's finally working.
This chair was commissioned, and I was told to do whatever I wanted to do with it. That seems easy but I kept thinking, what if they don't like it! It actually took me a long time to sew all the pieces together, then I had to hand stitched a lot of it onto the chair, and finally I finished it off with long strips of fabric that I sewed tiny little pieces of fabric, buttons and lace onto. I'm so happy that it's finished & delivered! |
