*I forgot to add the little wood plugs before I took the second picture!
I have been working on a quilt using Cori Dantini fabrics, and I decided to embellish my quilt rack to match it. I had already white-washed the stand and so I decoupaged pattern tissue on first, and then added an image to each side once it was dry and secure. Once that was complete, I used Staz-On Ink to give it a little distressed look. Now I just need to finish the quilt!

I spent most of the day with a brush, images and decoupage! I added some floral print to my wooden box lid. And all of the sudden the image went to the bottom of the page! Then I made a couple of trays!
I had to run an errand on Saturday morning, and while I was out I saw a yard sale sign. I had a little time and so I went to see if there was anything I couldn't live without. It was my lucky day! I found a steer skull. I had to do a little repair on it, but I though it was so cool. I thought I would sell it at the show I'm doing in November, but changed my mind once I put it in my kitchen bay window.
I know this lampshade is not for everyone, but I wanted to give it a try! I was given a big box of feathers in all different colors. I bought an inexpensive lampshade and covered it with feathers. I thought it was pretty, and would make a statement in the right setting.
I thought this apron would be cute to wear at a vintage fair or sale. It has big pockets to hold the millions of dollars made from handmade items sold. Tee Hee! I made this using scraps of burlap, tea-stained canvas, and a little lace.
This weekend I have been working on some canvas items that will be for sale in a show called Born In A Barn, in Sheridan, Wyoming! My sister and niece will have a super cute booth there. The sale is September 11-13.
I've been making pillows with saying on them, and today I decided to make an apron. I washed the canvas, cut the shape I wanted for the apron, and sewed the straps and pocket on. I wanted it to look shabby and comfy and easy to care for. Yesterday I went to Yarnell, Arizona and I found this little table. It's like a tiny T.V. tray that can fold down to store. I sanded it, painted the legs and sides and stained the top. Sunday's are made for easy projects!
The second stool got dressed a little prettier. I had a piece of white fur that I thought would look nice on the top of the stool. I kept the needlepoint in place which was originally on the stool. Someday the person who buys the stool might decided to recover it again, and will discover the little hidden treasure underneath the fur.
