I thought it would be fun to make this table for indoor or outdoor use. The bottom base piece was made by a man 50 years ago. It's height can be adjusted, and was made as a little table to use while you stand up and work. The table top is made from a very large wood clock and the center of the table is made from a Lazy Susan. You can turn it around and it would be a cute party piece.

I intentionally made this box so I could plant flowers in it, but it was really too tall and narrow for plants, so I decided to make it into a wine box. Wouldn't it be fun to get a gift box that had 5 bottles of wine in it? Lucky them!!
I painted 5 trays this weekend. I painted some with sayings and added decoupage images to others. Here is a tray I finished with a Junk Gypsy image I got from a friend. I used the other image from my friend on this little table that I blogged about a couple of weeks ago. It was just what it needed! Thank you Becca!
I had such a fun weekend working on all kinds of new projects and finishing up some old projects. Today I'll tell you about the new ones. I made 2 message boards. The first one is made from an old wood frame. I put some wire where the glass should go, and then I added fabric behind that. I will add some tiny clothespins and the project is complete! The next message board is made from???? I have no clue! Do you? I thought it was an interesting piece and I bought it. I added a cute cloth napkin to the back and some little hangers to the front.
I bought this tub awhile back and my husband made the lid for me. It was nice, but I decided it could use a little signage on the top. I found a pretty image from the Graphic Fairy, and painted it on with acrylic paints.
When we were little kids we were our dad's boot jack. My dad would hold his booted leg up and we would put it between our legs and he would push our rears with his other leg and we would pull and off came the boot. We thought it was fun. I'm sure lots of other kids did the same thing. If you never did this, you are probably thinking I'm nuts!
Now days you can buy a wood boot jack. I made a couple this weekend. One for a cowboy and one for a cowgirl. I bought a collapsible cot and pad. I thought it would be great for a bed when I go on a girl camping trip. It could be used at home to lay outside and read on, or just an extra sleeper if we have a lot of company. I wanted it to be functional and appealing, so I covered the pad with a soft canvas and made pillows to go with it. This was a project I've wanted to do for a long time. When the cot is not in use it can be folded up and put away, and the pillows can go on chairs on the balcony. It was a win/win project! I had the most wonderful weekend! I went camping with my mister. It was quiet, cool and so very relaxing. I read a little, and I must recommend the book "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. We also hiked, jeeped and scouted. I felt so refreshed and relaxed when we got home. So, there was very little arts & crafts this weekend. I did get a couple of projects done on canvas. And I painted a sign that is from a vintage laundry room.
