I decided to display some of my linens at 3 Vintage Chicks. I know people will mill through them and I hope this display stand will help prevent it from getting wrinkled and messed up! It won't take up too much space and I hope it provides easy access to the shoppers.
I found this valet, and it was a little on the sad side. It had brass rods, a torn up seat, and it needed a little love! I painted it, recovered the seat and painted the rods and hanger. I would love to have it for my clothes! Can you imaging getting up and having your clothes ready to go, your shoes matching your outfit and your jewelry sitting on the stand ready to wear! Life is Good!!
So sorry not to post this week but I have been so busy! I thought things would calm down, but they seem to have sped up! Front Porch Pickins was a great show, except it was hot! There were tons of people and they brought their debit cards! Too bad I haven't got a credit card square! I guess that will be on my list of to dos! I think I only lost one sale and everyone without cash hit the ATM.
I must thank Sheryl and my husband for their help. I could not have done it without you! Thank you so very much!
So, after the show, I thought I would have lots of free time. Well, some very nice ladies from 3 Vintage Chicks came by my booth and asked me to do a little show at their store on Saturday. Then I was convinced to put my stuff in their store. So instead of relaxing, I have been busy making new items for this weekend. The pillows were a big hit, so I made a few more.
This Saturday I am a vendor at Front Porch Pickins in Peoria, Arizona. My space is Sew Old Sew New space 313. This is my first show in west Phoenix, and I am really excited. Today I was invited to do a promo with Channel 3 and Channel 10 news in Phoenix regarding the show. We were asked to set up a display with item we would be selling at the show. I ended up being interviewed by Channel 3, and I was nervous but very flattered. Here are pictures of my display and a picture where I was joking around by the news vehicle.
I'm an art teacher and junk lover! I like to hunt for and repurpose treasures from flea markets, old barns, yard sales and funky shops.
