I'm working on a quilt using antique quilt blocks & vintage feed sacks. It's the perfect size for a camper bed or a quilt to cuddle with on the couch. Here is one section.
Yesterday I painted and finished all of my loft furniture, and today I stained the floor, added the wallpaper and finished this industrial loft space. I am trying to make everything by hand, but I really want to add some lighting, and I will need to read up and buy the wire & stuff. I would like to have this loft space in Denver! It's my favorite city and it would be fun to stay there when we visit. Dream big, right!?!
I have been working on my space for a gallery opening this week! I am so excited to be a part of this new adventure! My space will feature vintage and handmade items. A bit of that old & new things that I love!
I made curtains out of vintage linens, painted the door and filled the room with handmade pillows, some furniture and chic junk! More details to come!
I have always wanted to decorate a dollhouse! I bought a beautiful dollhouse about 30 years ago and started collecting furniture for it, but I didn't have any place to work on it or store it, so I got rid of it. How sad! Anyway, I went to a sale at a school on Saturday, and there was a homemade dollhouse. I didn't buy it, and left. Well, I was driving home and I thought I really should go back and look at the dollhouse, even though I didn't need it. It came with some mismatched furniture, and I just couldn't pass it up.
I brought the dollhouse home and decided I had better make room for it in my art room, because if I didn't I would never finish it. I have now completed 2 rooms and I am having so much fun decorating it!
I still need to finish the door by the stairs, but other than that the nursery is finished.
I'm an art teacher and junk lover! I like to hunt for and repurpose treasures from flea markets, old barns, yard sales and funky shops.
