Cathedral Window Quilt Blocks

2/1/2018

I decided to play around with a cathedral window quilt block.  The majority of the block is made of muslin.  I'm not going to give directions on making the block because there are experts online who can explain it much better than I can, and with many variations.    I have a photo showing most of the steps I took making my block.  What I did do that was very different was to slow stitched the center piece instead of adding a single 3" piece for the center.  I decided to play around with my first block to see what I liked best.  This is NOT a quick & easy block to make, but the possibilities are beautiful and endless!
