Anyway, every kid got a 100% on their test and I brought them cream puffs. No, they were not from scratch, but they were yummy! I hope their memory of cream puffs is as much fun for them as it was for me!
One of my jobs at school this year is tutoring kids in reading. We just read the book "Come Back, Amelia Bedelia" by Peggy Parish. This is a very cute book, and in it Amelia Bedelia makes cream puffs. The kids didn't have any idea what cream puffs were. Can you imagine?! I told them if they got 100% on their A.R. test I would bring them cream puffs. I told them when I was a little girl, my grandma made the best cream puffs in the whole world. She made the pastry from scratch and the whip topping was made fresh from the cow. She drizzled chocolate sauce over the tops, and they were sooooooo yummy!
