I woke up this morning with a million ideas. I just started writing them down so I could get them out of my mind and concentrate on just one thing today...playing with fabric. I had a big pile of bits and pieces and I just started sewing them together. I made 4 different collaged pieces. Once I was done I looked for boxes and things I might like to cover. I started with a vintage knitting tote. I made one side that represents knitting and the other side that represents sewing, that way it's more versatile. . I'm going to fill it up with yarn and some knitting needles. Once I was through with the tote I started working on a box used for embroidering. It makes a perfect start up kit for someone, or just a special place to keep your items together. If this doesn't sell I will give it to one of my student's next year. Kids love to do this type of sewing and it is a great way for them to learn the basics.
